Proof testing verifies that a sling or device will perform safely up to its working load limit.
By applying a test load that is a multiple of the working load limit, most commonly 1.25 or 2.00, the integrity of the sling or lifting device can be assured in a controlled environment. A certificate of proof test is provided as documentation.
