| Sling Type | Sample | Description |
| Eye and Eye Slings (Type 3) | Flat Eye Types are used in all styles of sling hitches. | |
|
Eye and Eye Slings (Type 4 ) |
Twisted Eye Types are preferred for choker applications.
| Endless Type Slings (Type 5) | Are used in all types of sling hitches. | |
|
Reverse Eye Slings (Type 6) |
|
Are used for heavy duty applications where higher capacities and superior wear resistance are required. Wear pads (cordura nylon) are sewn to all sling surfaces, including eyes. Extremely durable compared to other sling types. |
|
Triangle/Choker Slings (Type 1) |
Provide superior lateral support for sling web during choker applications. Hardware is specifically designed and manufactured for use with web slings. Contact surfaces have been ground smooth to eliminate premature web wear. Can be used in all types of sling hitches.
|
Triangle/Triangle Slings (Type 2) |
Are similar to above but designed to be normally used in a basket hitch. Can be used in a vertical hitch, but not recommended in choker applications. |

| QUALITIES AND TRAITS |
Synthetic web slings offer excellent load protection. Unlike other sling types, they generally do not mar or scratch machined surfaces. They are equally suited for use on other delicate surfaces. Care should be taken to insure that foreign materials, which may induce scratches or other damage, are not present in the sling body. Also, remember that synthetic slings stretch under load (3-6% for nylon, 3-4% for polyester). It is this stretch which may create damage on some surfaces.
Long term exposure to ultraviolet light will have a deteriorating effect on web slings. Efforts to minimize ultraviolet exposure will enhance sling longevity and safety.
Web slings provide superior gripping ability by molding and conforming to the load's surface.
Web slings are unaffected by most chemicals. Please note chemical effects chart below. They should not be used in conditions where the temperature will exceed 180ยบ F.
